NUCA of South Florida is hosting a roundtable discussion with Sunshine 811 and their member utilities on Wednesday, November 9 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm at Kelly Tractor’s Office in West Palm Beach. There is no cost to attend.
This is an opportunity to continue to improve communication between our contractor members and the utility companies.
The 38th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament is SOLD OUT! There are still sponsorship opportunities available.
It will be held on Friday, October 28 at Madison Green Country Club in Royal Palm Beach. Shotgun start at 8:00 am! This is the only event that raises funds for our Scholarship Program. Please support and register your team today!

Join us for our Annual Scholarship Awards Night being held on Thursday, July 28 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Maggiano’s in Boca Raton. We are looking forward to awarding our members with scholarships!

The NUCA of Florida Annual Conference is being held in South Florida this year from July 21-23 at the beautiful Opal Grand Oceanside Resort in Delray Beach.
In addition to networking receptions with colleagues mixed in with beach fun, there will be a report from NUCA Government Relations on the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act, presentations on the Future of the Construction Industry Workforce on Friday and the Andrew Scott Johnson Memorial Scholarship Awards Presentation on Saturday at the Black & White Dinner Party!

The cost is $725 per student. Class price includes, breakfast, lunch, course materials, NCCER “Fundamentals of Crew Leadership” Manual, Supporting Course Manual, and Certificate of Completion. The class size is limited to 20 students and is first come, first serve. Please RSVP by Friday, July 1. Late Cancellations will be charged.
The class will be instructed by Jacob Ponce with Team Safety. Jacob is fluent in Spanish. See below for what is covered in the class each day.
DAY 1
- The Basics (Industry Today, Gender & Cultural Issues, Business Organizations)
- Leadership Skills (Intro to Leadership, The Shift in Work Activities, Becoming a Leader, Communication, Motivation, Team Building, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Getting the Job Done)
DAY 2
- Safety (Safety Overview, Cost of Accidents, Safety Regulations, Workplace Inspections, Crew Leader Involvement in Safety, Promoting Safety, Employer Safety Responsibilities)
- Project Control (Project Control Overview, Project Delivery, Cost Estimating and Budgeting, Planning, The Planning Process, Scheduling, Cost Control, Resource Control, Production and Productivity)
